The Capital Markets Authority is a statutory agency charged with the responsibility of regulating and developing an efficient capital market in Kenya. The Authority invites applications from dynamic, goal-oriented, high performers, with strong problem-solving skills, for the following positions:
SENIOR LEGAL OFFICER REGULATORY FRAMEWORK– HCA/SLO/2/2013
Reporting to the Assistant Manager, Regulatory Framework, the Senior Legal Officer Regulatory Framework will be responsible for reviewing the capital markets enabling legislation, rules, regulations and guidelines in accordance with the strategic focus of the Authority, market needs and changing trends. The Senior Legal Officer will also be charged with carrying out research of local, regional and international practices to guide recommendations on necessary amendments or new regulatory framework to facilitate efficient and orderly market operations and growth.
LEGAL OFFICER, REGULATORY FRAMEWORK –HCA/ LO/2/2013
Reporting to the Senior Legal Officer, Regulatory Framework, the Legal Officer, Regulatory Framework will be responsible for carrying out extensive legal research for benchmarking capital markets legal and regulatory framework with international best practice approaches and carrying out legislative drafting in line with benchmark standards to attain the strategic objectives and policies of the Authority.
STRATEGY & POLICY OFFICER - HCA/SPO/3/2013
Reporting to the Senior Strategy & Policy Officer, the Strategy and Policy Officer will be responsible for planning, analyzing and reviewing the impact of various policies on capital markets development and identify impediments to market development with an objective of developing appropriate policy interventions for capital markets development as well as reviewing and updating the Authority's long term strategic plans and ensuring they are aligned to the National policies.
