CMA Licenses two Intermediary Service Platform Providers to Advance Digital Access to Investment Schemes
Nairobi, 26 May 2026…… The Capital Markets Authority (CMA) has granted Intermediary Service Platform Provider (ISPP) licenses to two fintech firms in line with Regulation 76 of the Capital Markets (Collective Investment Schemes) Regulations, 2023. The approvals form part of CMA’s ongoing efforts to deepen Kenya’s capital markets, enhance innovation and expand access to investment services across diverse investor segments, and reflect the Authority’s commitment to fostering a well-regulated, inclusive and dynamic capital markets ecosystem.
CMA has granted Moneto Ventures Limited an ISPP license. The firm operates the Chumz mobile application, a savings and investments platform that aggregates and connects retail investors to collective investment schemes. Chumz was previously admitted into and successfully exited the CMA Regulatory Sandbox in August 2022, having tested the platform under controlled conditions before entering the capital markets.
The Authority has also granted an ISPP license to Pesa Bridge Limited. The firm operates a secure, mobile-first digital infrastructure that bridges retail investors with licensed fund managers and custodians, with the objective of digitising the access and distribution of Collective Investment Schemes across Kenya and the wider East African region.

The Capital Markets Authority (CMA) was set up in 1989 as a statutory agency under the Capital Markets Act Cap 485A. It is charged with the prime responsibility of both regulating and developing an orderly, fair, and efficient capital markets in Kenya with the view to promoting market integrity and investor confidence. CMA also regulates the structured commodity markets and online forex trading.
